From Inspiration to Reality

I’m Mahsa Shirazi—the artist, author, and creator of Planet Dreamers. Every single illustration and word in this journal comes straight from my heart. My mission? To remind kids just how amazing they are, show them they have the power to achieve their dreams, and help them unlock their inner superpowers.

Growing up, my parents filled my world with books, coloring pages, and creative projects. They encouraged me to write, make scrapbooks, and create collages. Looking back, those simple moments planted seeds of creativity in me—seeds that shaped the person I am today. Their support gave me the confidence to explore and dream, and now, I want to do the same for your child. That’s why I poured a whole year into this journal—to help kids build confidence, dream big, believe in themselves, and achieve their goals.

When I was 19, I illustrated my first children’s book. That one drawing wasn’t just an image; it was the spark that set me on this path. Years later, in September 2023, my mom handed me a copy of that illustration. I hadn’t seen it in so long, and the moment I held it in my hands, something inside me shifted. It felt like a sign from the universe, nudging me toward something bigger. That was the moment I knew—this was what I was meant to do.

This journey really began five years ago when I started diving into my own personal growth. I realized how much childhood shapes who we become. That’s when everything clicked—I wanted to create something special that would inspire kids to dream big, believe in themselves, and achieve their dreams.

Then, last Christmas, life took another unexpected turn. Things were going well in the UK—my art exhibitions were successful, and everything seemed fine—but I still felt like something was missing. All year, I had been seeing little signs about writing kids’ books and publishing, but I brushed them off. I was too busy, too distracted.

And then, on January 21, 2024, something incredible happened.

That day, I was feeling a little down, so I randomly decided to go to a shopping center to sell something—something I had never done before. I don’t know why, but I felt like I had to be there. While I was sitting at my little setup, I started watching videos about creating children’s books.

At that exact moment, a man and his daughter came to my table, bought something, and then accidentally left behind two books. When I picked them up, I froze.

They weren’t just any books.

They were children’s books. The exact type of books I had been thinking about making—the same size, same kind of content, everything!

I was in shock. I looked everywhere for them, but they were gone. It was like they had just disappeared.

That moment hit me so hard—I knew it wasn’t a coincidence. It felt like the universe was literally shouting at me to take this path. I truly believe those two were guardian angels sent to guide me. And from that day forward, I knew—this was it. I had to follow this calling and create something magical for kids.

Planet Dreamers is more than just a journal—it’s a piece of my heart. My parents always encouraged me to be creative, to dream big, to believe in myself. They taught me patience, courage, and imagination, and those lessons have stayed with me for life.

Now, I’m passing that magic on to your child. Together, we can help your kids dream, believe, and achieve the amazing things they are capable of.
